CSPAN was a national competition that we did in groups. We had a to make a video that states an issue. For my group, I worked with Jillian Hagmann and Gabriela Castro. For our video, the problem we saw was schools not putting enough money for art programs. Studies have proven that there are less dropout when students have a higher arts program.

Art programs in schools take kids off the street. Kids that come from troubled homes have a place where they can express their feelings. They have a place where they can just go to get away from their home. Art programs need to be funded. Think about kids the get scholarships for sports, maybe people can get scholarships for art.
